Outback River Lights Festival

A new festival ‘Outback River Lights Festival’ celebrating Cunnamulla’s connection to water and culture will restart the arts sector in Cunnamulla, by the banks of the Warrego River. The festival begins  on April 15th and will also feature brilliant music as part of the Qld Music Trails with ARIA Award-winning First Nations singer-songwriter Emma Donovan & The Putbacks and Wergaia and Wemba Wemba musician Alice Skye.

During the festival, the town is transformed with colorful light displays and installations, creating a magical atmosphere. The festival also features live music performances, art exhibitions, street food, and activities for all ages.

The Outback River Lights Festival celebrates the beginning of tourist’s adventures in the outback and all are invited to join in and explore the cultural art, music and story-telling with amazing light shows.

There will also be free lantern building workshops where you can create your own piece of art and join in the parade opposite Hotel Cunnamulla in Centenary Park all the way down to the banks of the Warrego River.
